WHAT IS A FARM SHARE?
FARM SHARES (also know as Community Supported Agriculture or CSA) create a consistent, permanent, and local customer base for a farm during the growing season. When buying a FARM SHARE, shareholders agree to pay for their share upfront—usually early in the growing season when a farm is in most need of capital. In return they get a weekly share of produce.
A farm share provides the shareholder with 18 weeks of fresh, locally grown produce. The share has a wide variety of items, including many seasonal favorites and we guarantee you will try a few new things a member. The weekly share varies in variety and abundance based on the season. For example, shares are typically lighter early in the season but become more bountiful as the season progresses.
